[kde-doc-english] Replacing pictures for splash-screen

Greetings
I has just installed opensuse 11.1 on 2 of my machines by update.

1. On one machine it has not replaced the previously kde3 version. the
other did this ok.
How do I get kde4 installed.?

2. I wishn to continue using photos as backgroud but i can find no
instructions on how to replace your splashscreens with a photo as
previously.

Could you please provide the answers by email.
