I agree it is an old debate and if we move the documentation on a wiki the 
quality will decrease.

Nevertheless they must be some innovative way to aggregate help in the Docbook 
documents and help on the Internet.

Imagine that each paragraph of the docs has a tag and that users could add 
annotations for each paragraphs that could be shared on the web, kind of 
wiki-post-it 

If people could also tag threads on user mailing lists and forums linking them 
to a section or paragraph of the documention.

With a revamped khlepcenter you could read the documentation and look in 
another tab / windows all the postit (your own postit and the wiki postit), 
and threads related to the documents.   

That would be a nice Google Summer of Code project.
