We use this list for co-ordinating writing of the KDE official documentation, 
so writing about KDE for a website could kinda be on topic. Anyway, it seems 
your question is more of a "how does this app work?" which would probably be 
best directed to the kde at kde.org mailing list, or maybe kde-devel at kde.org. 
Although, it seems like no one knows, so you might have to resort to looking 
at the source code.
