Summary: typos in several userguide po files
Product: docs
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kde-doc-english kde org
ReportedBy: nat switch demon nl
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: I Don't Know
OS: Linux
userguide_switching-sessions.po
switching-sessions.docbook:31
- which means that your desktop will start the screensaver
and after a few seconds can log in with KDM as always.
- Should this be:
... you can log in ...
?
userguide_standard-menu-entries.po
standard-menu-entries.docbook:66
- a name and location for the file. .
- " ." can be removed.
standard-menu-entries.docbook:78
- after you save the file with
<guimenuitem>Save As..</guimenuitem>
- Missing "."
standard-menu-entries.docbook:119
- This menu entry displays the &kde;
<quote>Print</quote> dialog, read to print the current
document. Youcan find more information
- ready (?) to print
- You can ...
standard-menu-entries.docbook:289
- Configure <replaceable>Application</replaceable>
- Missing "..."
userguide_programs_and_documents.po
programs-and-documents.docbook:16
- by clicking the relevant launcher in the &kmenu;.
- I'd rather call this "the relevant menu entry"
- clicking the &kmenu; and choosing <guimenuitem>Run
Program</guimenuitem>
- My KMenu (3.3) has: "Run Command..."
I checked in svn in /messages/kdebase/kicker.po. and it
says "Run Command..." as well.
- the respective shortcut for bringing up this dialog
- There is no explanation about which dialog.
- I'd mention the "Run Command" method before the Konsole
method, because the first and second methods then both
use the KMenu.
- While applications can also be launched from the quick
launch in &kicker;, the &kde; panel,
- Is this the Quick Browser or the Application Button?
- As an afterthought: Maybe a bulleted list would be
"cleaner".
programs-and-documents.docbook:31
- choose <guimenuitem>Run Command</guimenuitem>
- choose <guimenuitem>Run Command...</guimenuitem>
programs-and-documents.docbook:41
- Choose <guibutton>OK</guibutton>
- Click <guibutton>OK</guibutton>
programs-and-documents.docbook:56
- type the name of the program you wish to launch
(remembering &konsole; is case sensitive)
- It's not just Konsole that is case sensitive,
everything in Linux is case sensitive :)
- By pressing , &konsole; will try to guess the
name of the program you wish to launch.
- By pressing , you tell &konsole; to ...
or
After you have pressed , &konsole; will ...
- Konsole does not try to guess ... Konsole uses
Tab completion.
programs-and-documents.docbook:209
- Try right clicking on any item to configure it or
to empty space to add a new entry.
- ... or on an empty area ...
- "Try right clicking" sounds as if we're not sure that
it will work :)
programs-and-documents.docbook:236
- the <guilabel>Preview and Metafiles</guilabel> tab
- the <guilabel>Previews and Meta-Data</guilabel> tab
programs-and-documents.docbook:319
- the <guimenuitem>Send Link...</guimenuitem> action to
&konqueror;,
- In the menu it is: "Send Link Address..."
programs-and-documents.docbook:521
- There must be a way to restore the default toolbars ...
... but I don't know what it is.
- I think it's this:
Remove the file something.rc or somethingui.rc
It's a xml file, it lists all menus toolbars.
for KWord: /home/.kde/apps/kword/kword.rc
for Kate: /home/.kde/apps/katepart/katepartui.rc
When you haven't changed the menus or toolbars,
the file does not exist.
