Philip,
I wouldn't mine helping out Apollon, just give me a few days to have a play
and I'll get back to you (Its been a while since I've used Apollon).

Firstly, welcome to the team! It's good to have you on board.
Keeping up-to-date with development versions of KDE isn't always necessary
to
write documentation, so don't worry about that.
One thing that comes to mind for which we don't require development versions
is KOffice. If you have the latest stable version, you've got all you need
to
write for KOffice. If you're interested in writing for any of the KOffice
apps, get back to us here at kde-doc-english at kde.org, as there are some
people already working on it who can point you in the right direction.

One third-party app that I'm aware of which needs some help with
documentation
is Apollon, a client for the giFT file-sharing program. If you're interested
in that, I can put you in touch with the author.
Of course, if none of that piques your interest, get in touch, and we can
certainly find something else.
Regards,
Philip
