Summary: Bad usability of the links in the bottom link bar
           Product: docs
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kde-doc-english kde org
        ReportedBy: joerg joerghoh de

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

The blue link bar (white font, blue background) on the bottom of every help page has 2 flaws:

a) "prev" (why don't you write it "previous") and "next" have 2 meanings. It can be the last/next page (like in a book), or it can be the last/next page in the history (if you use the help system as a hypertext system). Can you make this much clearer? Perhaps replace it by an icon?

b)Below the prev- and next-Link is the name of the previous/next page in the same color as the clickable link "prev" and "next", but the name isn't a link. The User gets confused. Plase change the color of that name.

A small third point: What does "home" mean? My home is my castle? Or the first page of the "book" aka the toplevel page of the help system? The user can mistake that "home" for the "Home" Icon of the desktop.)
