I'd say you have a good start, and certainly plenty of work lined up for 
yourself.  Looking forward to seeing how you are going (and i promise to 
reply more promptly next time too!)

BZ2 is fine :)  In fact, so is gz, zip or even rar.  Once the document is in 
CVS, diff's are an even better way to handle things, and kompare a great tool 
for working with them :)
