Hi Troy,
Lauri Watts, our co-ordinator, is away, so I'll make an attempt to reply
(CC'ing the list, so that someone can correct me if I'm wrong...)

Great, welcome aboard! We can always use more contributors. I guess your first
port of call should be the docs status page at:
http://people.fruitsalad.org/people/lauri/docs/ , and see if there's anything
that's not marked as up to date that takes your fancy. If so, email the list
to check that no-one's already working on it, to save duplicating effort.

You'll also need to be running a recent development version of KDE - either a
recent snapshot, CVS HEAD, or (I think) the latest beta. Details on getting
one of those should be on www.kde.org .

As to learning DocBook, it's fairly straightforward to pick up, especially if
you've done something similar before. The KDE DocBook guide is at
http://i18n.kde.org/doc/markup/index.html , which explains the use in KDE of
all the DocBook tags we use. The official guide to DocBook ('The Duck Book')
is at:
http://www.docbook.org/tdg/en/html/docbook.html
and there's lots more information at http://i18n.kde.org/doc

If you would prefer to get writing rather than learning DocBook, then you can
write documentation in plain text, and someone can add the markup for you.

Regards,
Philip Rodrigues
