Hi Troy,
I think that Beta 1 should be appropriate for writing documentation, as
changes to the GUI have been frozen since then (I think. Someone want to
correct me?). However, Beta 2 is out soon (it's tagged in CVS today,
according to the release schedule), so it might be a good idea to wait for
that.
In the long run, you might find it easier to use CVS, just to be able to
update more frequently, but unless someone says otherwise, I think Beta 1 is
fine for now,
