This was originally sent to kde-community, but we probably should have
posted it here as well.

We'd love to have another strong Season of KDE in 2024!

We will send an invitation for mentee proposals on Friday. If you have
some ideas you'd like to see happen (see below for details), please add
them to:

   https://community.kde.org/SoK/Ideas/2024

You may also want to check out the new mentorship website (thanks,
Johnny, for implementing this!):

   https://mentorship.kde.org/

Thank you!

Cheers,
Joseph and Johnny
(on behalf of the mentorship admin team)

P.s. If you participated in SoK23 but won't in SoK24, please let Johhny
or me know why. It'd be helpful for organizing in the future.

Hello! We'd like to invite the community to submit ideas for Season of
KDE 2024 projects. Deadline to do so is Friday *15 December* 2023!

     https://community.kde.org/SoK/Ideas/2024

All community members can submit an idea. If you have an idea, reach out
to the different people on the team to see if at least one core member
would like to mentor and ask if you can add their contact info. If not,
do not add the project there.

In short: do not add SoK ideas with no mentor and no contact info.

Please be as specific as you can be with your idea. KDE is really big --
don't assume people are familiar with the project you are proposing!

This year we'd especially like to encourage previous SoK participants to
co-mentor a project. As stated so well recently by Benson, SoK is more
of a guide-by-the-side than a sage-on-the-stage role, so please don't
feel shy about taking on a mentorship role once you have been "seasoned"
yourself.

Remember that SoK is more general than GSoC, so these ideas are not
limited only to coding tasks and you can include projects related to
documentation, artwork, translation, reports and other types of work as
well as code.

Let's make SoK24 a great season for KDE!

Cheers,

Joseph and Johnny
(on behalf of the mentorship admin team)
