Krita DPI adjust

Hello, Good Morning,

I need help adjusting the dpi on my files using python Krita built in plugin.

I try to rescale my image but I lose the resolution from 300ppi to 288ppi, I even tried to upscale to 600ppi, but I got 576ppi which is also a 2*288ppi. Please help. Do I have to change setting in my Krita setting to resolve this issue?
