This is because the old mysql3 service is switched off since 2005-11-1. The 
sourceforge team had send a relating mail to the initial project admin 
(probably Dave Brondsema). For the kde-cygwin website I had overseen this 
too, so that the website was down some time, but was able to restore the 
database mostly
