Alt key does not work any longer

Hi,

AFAICS, ALT + <some key> is no longer processed and passed to the 
application (LyX in my case).

Moreover, menu and dialog shortcuts are no longer shown. Normally, if I 
press just "ALT", a Qt application underlines one of the letters in each 
menu/dialog element.

Is there any chance to fix this?
