konquerer crashing

Konquerer seems to be crashing a bit more than I like.

If I go to :
www.washintonpost.com
www.abcnews.com

It displays the page for a few seconds while still loading and then it
crashes.

Also, I am not getting all the images to download from other websites, such
as news.com.com, cnn.com, or mozilla.org. Anything to do with rejecting
cookies?

Everytime I browse a different directory in my file system, it checks the
floppy drive. How do I stop it from doing this?
