I am trying to get KDE to start via the 'startkde' script after X is running
and this is the failure I am seeing:

bash-2.05b$ startkde
[: ==: unknown operand
xsetroot: unable to open display ''
xdpyinfo: unable to open display "".
xdpyinfo: unable to open display "".
xdpyinfo: unable to open display "".
xdpyinfo: unable to open display "".
Aborting. $DISPLAY is not set.
Aborting. $DISPLAY is not set.
ERROR: KUniqueApplication: Pipe closed unexpected.
ksmserver: cannot connect to X server
connect() failed: : No such file or directory
bash-2.05b$

Any ideas?  Thanks!
