Kde2/cygwin awfully slow on Windows XP

Hi all,

I installed kde2 for cygwin on my windows XP. The
installation went really slow, sometimes it looked
like dead (taking nearly 100% CPU time), although I
installed from downloaded local files. But it finally
went through. But still, when I started kde2, it's
unbearablely slow, talking 80%-100% CPU time, like I
was running Windows XP on a Intel 486 PC. Openning a
shell window was like starting up Photoshop. My setup
is P4 1.8Ghz, 1GB mem, etc.

I installed it (with exactly the same process) on
another PC, with P3 1GHz, 1GB mem, Window NT.
Everything looks all right. and it's running pretty
fast...

So I wonder if anyone else has the same problem with
kde2 on Win XP. Do I need to do something special for
XP to make kde2 running correctly?

Thanks,

R
