Plasma Applet for Audio Volume for kdereview

Will that make PulseAudio mandatory?

It is still not working for me in all cases (stuttering sound with PlaneShift 
OpenAL sound output as one of the last issues) and am I happy that Plasma 5 
and KMix still work without it.
