my experience with QtMultimedia can best be summed up by “holding my nose, i 
used it because i had to”. it’s really not a good framework. for simplistic 
things, ok...

because it’s remarkably better than QtMultimedia, which itself was an exercise 
in NIH by certain people who worked on Qt for Nokia at the time.
