The test you should be running is kmimetypetest, not kurlmimetypetest.

    I can't review this. It completely forks an existing method (findByUrlHelper), which is already supposed to have a fast path (not reading the contents of the file). So why not improve the existing method, rather than fork it? With this patch, I can't see what you changed compared to the original method, and what might possibly be missing (= regression).

    This can't possibly be a speedup :-)
    
    In fact I don't see what the parsing of the globs file has to do with checking that the essential mimetypes exist (they typically don't have globs, even).
