    The patch seems Ok to me. I am just not sure if we should add it to 4.8.5 since 4.8.5 is going to be the last release in the 4.8.x series. If in the future (after 4.8.5) we find a bug in this code there will be no fixes from our part, so I think we should add this change only to 4.9 and master.
