kdebug area for oxygen style

Hello,

I'd like to have a dedicated kdebug area for oxygen style (rather than using 
the default, that quite often falls back to the calling application area, 
which is not convenient. 

What's the best way to proceed ? 

1/ dynamic way (with kdebug::registerArea)
2/ static, by modifying kdelibs/kdecore/kdebug.areas ?

Reading http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-devel&m=106607933724723&w=2, option 2. 
seems quite legit.

Is there objections against doing so ? 
And if not, how do I pick my area ? (I was thinking 1230, which falls into the 
kdebase section, and does not interfere (logic-wise) with whats currently in 
there.
