.desktop security and using kde in multiple prefixes

Well, it was more than that, because there are other packages that provide 
desktop files.  But that's not to say it wouldn't be a good idea.

How extensive were you intending to be?  All main modules?  With extragear?  
Playground?

No, you'll have to set the svn:executable property.  The value doesn't matter, 
but subversion apparently forces it to be * anyway.
