Does it affect logins on multiple machines sharing the same $HOME (for
example using nfs?)

I'd rather have an unique user bus AND a session bus per X session, so
that applications that should be user-unique (kwallet "backend",
akonadi) can be on the user bus but applications that should be session
unique (kwallet "frontend", kmail) and also non unique applications can
be on the session bus...
