It's true I do not have a lot of examples where this is a hard need.
The only one I can think of is the Powerdevil notification which appears
when it is about to hibernate your computer in 10 seconds because you
are running out of battery. This notification has an action to cancel
the auto hibernation. If actions were not supported, Powerdevil could
decide to use a dialog box instead (in fact I think this notification
should always be presented through a dialog box)
