That KIO and cookiejar integration has already been done. See 
KIO::Integration::AccessManager and KIO::Integration::CookieJar in 
kio/kio/accessmanager.{h|cpp} in trunk. Actually KIO::AccessManager has been 
in existence since KDE 4.1
