it works for me.
in this particular instance we'll be putting one more requirement down: only
apps in kde's main modules can use KNotificationItem until it is merged into
kdelibs proper. this is just to keep the work manageable for us in the plasma
team who have taken on responsibility for all the porting, etc.
i'll wait until there's some more voiced consensus on this before doing any
moves (and updating the techbase page)
