Qt has a powerfull styling system to smoothly integrate with a variety of 
desktop environments and toolkits (mfc, .net, carbon/cocoa, motif,gtk,...)

-> if you don't like the behaviour of a style, make a bugreport, patch it 
yourself or simply use another one

KDE could (and mybe rather should) provide some "style guidelines" that make a 
style "KDE approved" and support them by KStyle (so all inheritors would 
autofit unless breaking by intent) but personally i would not dare to question 
the sanity of the Qt GUI and LAF flexibility.
