KWin weirdness?

so previously there was always a window open from Qt's perspective of things.
could it be that the root window is no longer counted among those items, even
for the window manager? or maybe Qt (or x.org has changed something under cute
so that it) is ignoring undecorated windows such as the panel?
in any case, the patch looks obviously right even without the behaviour you're
seeing: kwin should never quite spontaneously because of window count.
i'd say commit it; i can't see what it could hurt.
