Malloc errors flooding terminal

Hi,

MALLOC_CHECK_ was set to 3 because ver_script was empty for me, putting it into 1 line fixes it for me, so I get MALLOC_CHECK_  set to 2 again. Thanks for Thiago putting me in the right direction.
