Both directories exist and they are supposed to be merged in case-
insensitive filesystems. Zip-file extractions on Windows and tarball
extractions on MacOS X have not met with problems.
This is a Subversion limitation. (Time to switch to Git?)
I have two suggestions:
1) remove include/ -- it'll get regenerated during ./configure by syncqt
(you need Perl installed for that)
2) undo the upgrade and leave Qt 4.4 in Subversion.
