Animated labels and progress bars in Oxygen considered harmful?

How about trying to circumvent QStyle, Oxygen developers start collecting 
requirements for a new styling engine?

We're going to write one in the WidgetsNG project, most likely, and this is 
your only chance to get it to do what you want.
