fwiw, Andreas originally posted on kde-devel. i asked a few questions (e.g. 
the windows issue) which he answered (and which appear in his email here) and 
suggested he should email k-c-d, which he did. looking at it, i think it would 
be a nice move, particularly as Andreas is working on improving the feature 
set :)
