multiple monitors are very common in a number of industries; in fact, if you 
pick the "right" ones like digital media, engineering or financial services 
you'll find that it's often even the dominant format.

you sound like someone who uses a laptop with a touchpad. :) sadly, touchpad 
support on linux is complete balls.
