I've talked with David over on our own list for the particular case of
the external from kdevplatform into kdelibs. He said that when the
switch to git is made, the directory thats currently used via
svn:externals should simply be moved out into a separate git module -
unless he finds the time to shape up the widget for installation. 

So with my maintainer hat on :) the both modules I care for are covered
by moving the relevant code into separate git modules - once we do the
switch. I guess thats acceptable for you Thiago?
