krunner issue in kde 4.0.72

Greetings.
I've compiled kde 4.0.72 (>=20080430) from the svn sources and practically
everything is working really well, this is a good release. However, I think
there is a regression in krunners behavior.
If I press ALT+F2 to bring krnunner up, all I get is a pop up with a narrow
black border but the whole of the pop up is totally transparent and I can
see anything of krunners dialogs.. krunner must be running because if i type
konsole, i get a new console on the desktop. If I hit the ESC key the pop up
goes away.

I've removed my .kde4 directory and cleared /var/tmp/kde-devel-kde4 out to
make sure it isn't picking up any crud
Anyone else seen this?
