kded won't start anymore

yeah, it seems like it'd be a little silly to have a whole plasmoid for that. 
especially if someoe's not running plasma at all.

would it be reasonable to silently restart once (like plasma) and then have a 
popup dialog saying something like "kded (a vital part of kde) crashed twice 
in a row; try again/give up?" ?

I remember that when artsd failed to start, it just showed a popup saying that 
it failed and telling the user they'd probably get no sound.

of course, it'd be best if kded just never crashed at all. ;)
