gradients, markers, etc that aren't referenced by elements in the document; 
they do no harm in being there and can be useful in creating a few different 
gradients for others to try or what not.

overzealously pruning svg's will not usually hurt anything or annoy anyone, 
but at times it will and there's really no big reason to do so during the 
creative process.

when we go to ship, sure..
