KPropertiesDialog. Useful graph ? [2D]

Hi,
maybe we're on the wrong ML?

The flat one kpropertiesdialog7.png is the most reasonable so far.
A very slight 3d effect would be good, see http://sexetc.de/borders.png for a 
possible example.

I think it'll be best to abuse the selection background color from 
KColorScheme for drawing both used and unused, with .5 opacity on unused.
(KCS gurus correct me ;)

Also you can try a slight vertical linear gradient.

The problem is that a window surface is always designed to look as if viewed 
from above, and any attempt to add depth to it ends up confusing the brain. 
This is getting more and more common with the web2.0 wet table effect, eg. in 
the kde4 splash, and also in an experiment Matthias did [1]
Personally I think it's just wrong ;)
