Wow, there's a lot of documentation I've never looked at. Is it useful to have
that in the _user_guide? Shouldn't this be on techbase instead? (Also kcminit
is in kdebase-workspace...)
Anyway, the way it works with KDE 4 is that kcminit code needs to install a
KCModuleInit service .desktop file. That desktop file can be combined for the
KCModule and KCModuleInit parts. The keys for KCModuleInit are documented in
the kcmoduleinit.desktop servicetype file.
Take a look at the kcminit code in kdebase/workspace/kcminit/main.cpp. It's
not much code...
