Definitely.  The most important HAL mounting option missing is
something which allows the mounted path to be specified.

On my setup I also need to execute binaries on my USB HDD and the
default mount options don't include the execute permission.  Figuring
out how to get HAL to do that took a while.

At the moment I have added custom rules in the appropriate fdi file
which works okay.
