Status of konqueror / dolphin as file manager

I did an update today at 20:05 (how can I tell you the svn version number I'm 
using ?).
I have a new user account and 
removed .kde4 .config .local .qt /tmp/*kde4* /var/tmp/*kde4* from my previous 
tests and started KDE4

I run KDE4 inside Xephyr (inside a KDE3 session).

And DnD does NOT work inside dolphin as described. The drag starts (I see the 
file moving, but on release, nothing happens).
However it (kind of) works when dropping the file onto the desktop, so it must 
be an issue with dolphin.
