That's pretty much the current state of things. You didn't do anything
wrong. :-)
You can run applications by right-clicking on the desktop and choosing Run
command .... If you start kickoff this way, it'll be opened in a separate
window. Integrating it into the taskbar is currently work-in-progress.
That did it! Man, kde's looking great. I'm listening to music using
Amarok 2.0 now. I have a real appreciation for the amount of work
this must have taken.
