sounds good; would be nice if it could have the option of self-populating with
all supported languages or whatever the common use case is... but yeah, even
just straightening out the API so it's clearly designed for language usage
and things like the private member being moved into the dptr are done, i'm
cool with moving it back.
(there was also a licensing issue with the file when it was moved out, but
that has since been resolved; humerously, dfaure tried to get it resolved for
quite some time and we finally gave up and then the next week the necessary
copyright holders came through. ha!)
