kdebase doesn't compile for weeks

I'd say just remove the build dir and installed files and rebuild
everything. As a gentoo user, you shouldn't be scared of recompiling ;-)

Everything compiles fine here, so there's obvious a problem in your build
tree, most likely due to some left-over files. I'm pretty sure figuring out
which ones takes as long, if not longer, than just recompiling the whole
bunch. Sorry ;-)
