if you want to compile kdelibs on X11 you better have xorg-x11-devel installed 
(which will pull in libexpat-devel unless your distribution is broken). 

I don't care either way, given that it will be hard to get rid of libxml in a 
default configuration due to GNOME compatibility, just wanted to point out a 
flawed argumentation straight.
