besides being proprietary, requiring Yet Another Account and adding another 
website to visit to get involved with KDE?

the value of using open tools that allow us to work in common areas is pretty 
huge. i'm not sure why we'd try to make it harder for a person working on X 
to help with Y, but that's what every balkanization (be it for vcs or bug 
tracker) does.
