Hi everybody,
It is time to present the Nepomuk-KDE project to the world in a more hands-on
manner. A move to kdelibs of the core parts of Nepomuk-KDE is planned and
even more so raises the need for information.
Thus, the 1st and 2nd of February, we will have a Nepomuk-KDE Workshop at the
Mandriva Office [1] in Paris.
The schedule looks as follows:
Thursday 01.02.
10:00 - 10:30 Introduction and overview of the workshop
10:30 - 11:30 Introduction to KDE and existing applications
11:30 - 12:00 What does Nepomuk-KDE already provide (Demo)
12:00 - 13:00 Discussion
13:00 - 14:00 Lunch

11:00 - 13:00 Hands-on Nepomuk-KDE - Writing a simple Client
13:00 - 14:00 Lunch
14:00 - open end Discussion
Thus, the first day will be focused on KDE4 development intended mainly for
Nepomuk guys that want to get an overview of KDE.
The second day should be of interest to everybody and provide the possibility
to exchange ideas and shape the future of the Nepomuk/KDE integration.
Please take the opportunity to combine your stay with a visit at the
LinuxSolutions fair [2]. The entrance is free and the Nepomuk project will
also be present with a presentation during the future of the desktop
conference.
Please let me know if and on which days you will be attending. You may add
your information directly to the workshop's Wiki page [3] which also provides
information on recommended hotels. (A hint for Nepomukians: your Nepomuk
account can be reused here.)
