Hmm?  We already have such a setting.

The point of the smallestReadableFont is to set it to a size that you can 
still read; so nothing should make it smaller then that. And its user 
configurable so he can adjust it to fit his needs.

Having what applied?  The font that the user sets in the fonts kcm as the 
smallest readable font? Why?
