On my Fedora Core 6 system, dbus-launch is started at boot time
from /etc/init.d/messagebus.

So I need to set XDG_DATA_DIRS to include /path/to/kde/share/dbus-1/services
before init.   Does anyone know the best place to set this variable before
messagebus is run?
