I don't. When you switch folders while there is text in the quick search, that probably means you did not find the mail you are looking for and want to search in another folder. So reapplying the search on the new folder makes sense to me, and to be honest, I use it multiple times per day. It's just one of the differences between KMail and Mailody. If I found the message and switch folders I'm now reminded by the subtile flash that the results are filtered.

Again I don't agree. It's a subtile note that there is a search active and that can be wanted or not. I think these subbtile hints are much better than yet another popup("There is a search active, are you sure?").

There is not one truth about what's usable and what not. Different people have different needs. So do apps.
